Broker Expo 2019 – What could business built on partnerships mean for your clients?

At this year’s Broker Expo, hosted by Insurance Age, the Aviva Mid-Market team welcomed a wide variety of brokers to our sponsored zone to talk about what matters to them and their clients. It was great to see so many there on the day, to catch up with you and to meet some new faces too. 



The Broker Expo is another great opportunity for you to speak to us face-to-face about your needs, challenges and new business prospects, and with over 1000 brokers walking through the doors on the day, we were pleased to be a sponsor again this year as we continue to support important industry events. We wanted to share with you some of the highlights from the event, with ways to get in touch to follow up on any valuable discussions from the day.

Dave Carey kick started the morning discussions with an introduction to the Mid-Market proposition, which included a viewing of our Mid-Market Proposition video, giving you a 2-minute overview of what Aviva Mid-Market means for you and your clients. Dave highlighted the importance of our refreshed approach, which looks to work with you alongside your Mid-Market clients, considering their needs and applying the best of Aviva, including our value-added services, to support them through unprecedented times of uncertainty but also growth, so they can achieve their ambitions with the peace of mind that what matters most is protected. 

This was followed by a panel discussion which explored the benefits of business built on partnerships, including insights from Tom North, Head of Client Relationship Management, Ian Stutz from Brokerbility and Warren Baldwin from Berns Bretts. It was a lively debate which focused on some of the challenges brokers face in winning and retaining new Mid-Market sized clients, as well as the importance of brokers and insurers working together to embrace technology and prevention strategies moving forward, as a way of retaining longer term business relationships together. 

On our stand, the Aviva team were focused on answering your questions, providing you with information on our Mid-Market proposition, our approach to offering industry focused support, as well as access to our range of value-added services to support you in your discussions with clients. 

We had representation from Claims, Client Relationship Management, Risk Consultancy and Sales, alongside our regional underwriters who looked to articulate our far-reaching appetite, explaining the key benefits of the proposition to you. Such as, Fair Presentation of Risk Guarantee, dual remedies, and access to our data and analytics to provide real-time assessment of the adequacy of sums insured and protection - which enable us to deliver your clients with tailored, personalised solutions.
