A message from Karen about Aviva Community Fund

It’s been a busy start to the year and we have even more to look forward to as summer approaches! Reflecting on 2019 so far, we’ve had an excellent start and it’s great to see that the majority of you are growing with us. Thank you for your hard work to achieve this growth, we really appreciate your support.

I was delighted to see so many of you at the Broker Roadshows across the country - I really appreciate the time you've taken away from your own businesses and it's always great to catch up face to face.

Aviva Community Fund

At the start of March, I had the pleasure of attending our annual Aviva Community Fund broker finale event which was held in the fascinating Gorton Monastery in Manchester. The Aviva Community Fund has been running for 8 years to support brokers in their communities and we’re proud to have given away almost £1.4m to more than 300 broker backed causes since in that time. Having been involved in the judging in December and getting to read about the fantastic ways brokers are supporting projects in their communities it gave me huge pride to meet so many of these community heroes on the day.

The event was hosted by Rugby World Cup Winner, Will Greenwood who joined Phil in announcing the winners and awarding over £250,000 in prize funding on the day. It was great to see lots of 110 brokers supporting causes this year and I wanted to highlight the below 110 winners and successful finalists in the funding they secured for their projects this year.

Please join me in congratulating the winners from Club 110 in the Aviva Community Fund:

James Hallam Insurance Brokers for winning £25,000 for their cause Watford Sheltered Workshop - Building To The Future

Eastwood & Partners for winning £25,000 for their cause Andy's Man Club.

You can view the full list of winners and prize finalists of ACF from Club 110 here.

We’re currently working on plans to make the next Aviva Community Fund broker programme even bigger and better, yet more simple to apply so I hope to see even more Club 110 brokers submitting causes important to them when it reopens for applications.
