A quick update on Brexit

Whilst Brexit continues to dominate the headlines, we just wanted to assure you we’re following negotiations closely to make sure we’re ready and in the best place for you and your customers before we reach 29 March 2019.

For the vast majority of your customers’, their policies will not be affected by Brexit, this includes those customers who purchased their policy in the UK and who are currently, and will continue to be, permanently resident in the UK.

For your customers who purchased their policy in the UK and are now permanently relocated or may, in the future, permanently relocate to a different country within the European Union / European Economic Area, subject to the outcome of the Brexit negotiations and the approach taken by the EU/EEA regulators, their policies may be impacted.

Of course, we do not yet know what the approach of the regulators will be.

In the event of a “no-deal” Brexit, customers travelling to Europe may also need to take action for some types of cover such as motor or travel insurance.

We’ll continue to monitor political developments carefully and engage with regulators, so we can minimise any regulatory or operational difficulties that may arise and will continue to provide the service you and your customers expect.

Whatever the Brexit outcome, we’ll update you with further information and/or actions you and your customers may need to take that are relevant to their policies as soon as we can.

In the meantime, should you have any questions please contact your Aviva Sales Manager
