Twelve months with the Future Leaders!

January 2018 saw the launch of the Aviva Future Leader Programme. Nineteen broker delegates from across the UK joined the programme to become the first brokers to take on and experience the two-year broker leadership journey.

Driven by our ongoing promise to champion brokers and support broker independence, the two-year programme provides delegates with support, training, coaching and mentoring to help ready them for a position as a broker business leader.

Over the past twelve months the delegates have completed six modules, which has included trips to the BIBA Conference and to Prague as they work their way through the programme. We’ve been delighted to see the value delegates are getting from the programme with so much content to take back to their office too.

“It’s invaluable, the insight it gives, being able to take that business on to the next level or consider if you are going to start your own business” commented Ben Cue from Comfort Insurance.

Developing industry talent is a passion of the Future Leader Mentors who have provided much needed guidance and support to the delegates on a whole range of issues. Future Leader Mentor, Ian Donaldson from Autonet, said “I think the future leader programme will benefit the broker market because we're going to see more young brokers that are talented that we can bring on and hopefully get involved with more businesses”

With the support of the mentors and programme partner Andrew Scott we were delighted to have received so many submissions for the 2019 programme. The calibre of applicants was exceptionally high, thank you to all the brokers who took the time to apply. In the new year we will be announcing the candidates who have joined the 2019 programme.

Full details about the Aviva Future Leader programme can be found here. Plus we’ll keep you informed with what’s happening throughout the programme in our monthly Loop editions.
