Important information for Aviva customers traveling to Bali
Aviva extends its deepest sympathies to those affected by Mount Agung Volcano in Bali.
Authorities say that dark gas and ash has been billowing up to 3,400m above Mount Agung Volcano and they have ordered approximately 100,000 people near Mount Agung to evacuate amid fears of a major eruption.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) recommends that if you are in the affected area, you should follow the advice of the local authorities and stay outside of the exclusion zone.
In recognition of the uncertainty and to help our customers during this time, we have extended our standard travel insurance cover for those who have a holiday booked within 50 miles of the affected area and are due to depart on or before the 11th December who want to cancel or rearrange their trip.
Aviva recommends that UK holidaymakers who are either in the area, or have plans to travel there over the coming days contact their airline or travel provider, in the first instance, for advice on coming home early or cancelling or rearranging their trip.
If you have any customers who would like to make a claim they can contact us on:
