Do you know a local cause that needs funding?

Article Publish Date: Wednesday 6 September 2017

For local causes, something ordinary can mean everything and make a big difference, but funding may be a challenge. Last year, the Aviva Community Fund helped hundreds of local projects turn dreams into reality. This year, we want to help even more.

Help a local cause close to your heart

To make sure all kinds of organisations can benefit, we’re offering funding in these four categories:

  1. Health and wellbeing
  2. Skills for life
  3. Community support
  4. Inclusivity

To make sure community projects of all sizes have the chance to win, we’re offering four funding levels, ranging from up to £1,000 to up to £25,000. Plus the great news is that broker-supported projects will have an extra chance to win and benefit from the exclusive broker winners celebration event.

A broker-supported project will be eligible to win awards in the main competition as well from the exclusive broker awards pot giving you the best chance of securing funding for your cause this year. So whether you’ve entered before or want to enter for the first time this year, the Aviva Community Fund can help you make even more of a difference in your local community.

We’ve added top tips to our website to help you give your entry that extra sparkle to give it the best chance to win funding. Check out the broker submission guide for top tips and more.

Get your community behind you

Your favourite project will need as many votes as possible to get through to the Finals. The sooner you start drumming up support in the community, the better!

The first 200 entries in the £1,000 category to reach 1,000 votes automatically win funding (subject to due diligence). After that, 180 top-voted entries asking for over £1,000 will receive funding. The top-voted entries in the £5,000, £10,000 and £25,000 will go through to judging.

With more chances than ever before to win, get involved today at and submit your entry before Tuesday 10 October 2017.

Best of luck!
