The Aviva Community Fund launch is now live!

With over £200,000 in bespoke broker awards to give away, there’s never been a better time to support an entry in the Aviva Community Fund. Show your community the good your business can do!

 

 

 

What is the Aviva Community Fund?

Put simply, it’s a competition that gives you the opportunity to secure a cash award for a local community, not-for-profit or charity group’s project.

How much can I apply for?

There are four funding levels to choose from depending on what the project needs to achieve: Up to £1,000, up to 5,000, up to £10,000 and up to £25,000

How does it work?

There are just a few simple steps:

1) You enter an online submission that tells a story on why the funding is needed.  Submissions can be made between 13 September and 11 October.

2) Then rally the troops during the four-week voting phase – you need as many votes as possible in order to secure your place in the Judging Round as one of our finalists.  You can enlist the help of friends, family, colleagues and even your customer base who might love to hear what you’re doing.

3) Keep your fingers crossed if you’re a Finalist. Our judging panels will get together to score your entries and agree who the winners should be.  And the great news?  If you make it to the finals, you’re guaranteed to go away with a minimum award of £500!

What are the benefits to the project?

Ultimately, they might win up to £25,000 in much-needed funding which serves to give them a massive boost.  And if they’re backed by a broker or financial adviser, they have an even better chance of winning because we have bespoke awards available for projects supported by you.

They might be able to extend the services they provide, buy more equipment, renovate an area or install new facilities – it all adds up to making a difference to more peoples’ lives.  Even if they don’t win, the efforts made during the voting phase will raise their profile – last year 34% of our entrants secured additional money as a direct result of taking part in the Aviva Community Fund! 

Is there a benefit to me and my business?

Yes! Last year, 88% of our entrants said that taking part in the Aviva Community Fund boosted the morale of their employees and/or volunteers.  Playing such an active role to support a cause close to the hearts of your community is a wonderful and rewarding thing to do.  We’d encourage you to tell your customers about the great work you’re doing because, a) they might vote for your project and b) it will help you stand out from the crowd, providing some positive PR for your business.

How does the voting work?

Anyone that registers to take part in the Aviva Community Fund gets 10 valuable votes. You can allocate them all to one project or spread them around.  The voting round is open 21 October to 18 November so even if you don’t enter, please, please make sure you use your votes to support a local project near you.
