Important changes to No Claims Discount (NCD) and Claims Experience evidence

We’re changing the number of days allowed for the production of satisfactory evidence to support NCD and Claims experience evidence from within 50 days to within 30 of days inception for our Minifleet product on Fast Trade.

We’re introducing this change to reduce the delay to yourself and your customer should the evidence not be deemed acceptable and further action required.

Providing unsatisfactory evidence can lead to action being taken including an adjustment to the premium and/or the policy being cancelled. The checklists below should help ensure the correct level of evidence is supplied:

Acceptable NCD / Claims Experience Evidence:

NCD Statements:

  • Must be provided within 30 days of inception date of our policy
  • Must be from the previous insurer advised to us.
  • Must be provided for all vehicles where NCD is being claimed (the statement must show the registration number) and must reflect the number of claim free years advised to us.
  • Must be in the company/business name (as advised to us) and/or a legal director of the company/business, who should be jointly named as our Policyholder, where the vehicle(s) are owned by that individual. NCD evidence in any other individual name(s) is not acceptable.

Claims Experience (previously fleet rated):

  • Must be provided within 30 days of inception date of our policy
  • Must be from the previous insurer advised to us.
  • Must be representative of all years (up to 3) where insurance has been in force (this includes evidence of previous insurers, where this has changed over the period).
  • Must represent the claims (number & costs) declared to us.
  • Must be in the company/business name as advised to us.

If you have any queries regarding the acceptance of NCD and/or Claims Experience evidence, please contact us.
