Listening to you about Property Claims

When your clients make a property claim, it’s our opportunity to deliver on our promise. Your clients pay for this peace of mind and you recommend us on the strength of our service. We aspire to be number 1 for brokers overall and for claims. In order for us to deliver the very best to you and your clients we’ve recently undertaken a review of our Property Loss Adjuster service across the UK. Brokers have told us that we need to work with more Loss Adjusters in order for the service to be flexible and responsive. We’ve listened to which Loss Adjusters you’d like to work with and have been through a rigorous assessment process to ensure we’re working with the most appropriate Loss Adjusters in our market.

Will we be able to appoint who we want from the above panel?

Yes, although some of the panel are new to Aviva and we need you to discuss this with your claims relationship manager below before making any changes. This will ensure there is always capacity available to ensure you experience the best service possible.

Do these changes impact on speciality lines e.g. engineering and agriculture?

No. Existing loss adjuster arrangements for speciality lines remain in place.

Why have you chosen the new panel?

The Loss Adjuster market has changed over the years. There are a number of larger composite companies, 2 of which have been our key partners over the last 10 years. Having listened to you and investigated the market we recognise there are smaller specialist Loss Adjusters that can compliment our current offering and bring a different approach to our claims service.


Do these changes impact on requests to use Loss Adjusters on claims outside the UK e.g. European Property Investors?

No. This review has focused on UK claims (ex Republic of Ireland).


I currently use Crawford & Company for all/some of my claims can I continue to do so?

Yes, you are able to continue with current agreed arrangements.

Will I have to use Asprea?

We believe with Asprea we now have the capability to manage smaller buildings claims better than any one in the market and as such we'd be delighted that you try this service where appropriate. If there are already other arrangements in place then they'll continue.
