Commercial policy cancellations



From February if your client wishes to cancel their policy they will receive a pro rata rebate instead of the current short period rebate.* The cancellation rebate eligibility is subject to the usual terms and conditions. 

All policy wordings have been amended to reflect this change and your existing clients will receive notification of this change at renewal.

When do these changes happen?

1 February for new business transacted on Acturis and CETA and business renewing thereafter

15 February for all other business

Please destroy any existing commercial policy documents and you can order new ones from Aviva Broker, you’ll just need to log in.

Where you operate a scheme, you should have already received a communication from the schemes team.

*Please note that our Agriculture (household section only), Bonds, D & O, Latent Defects, Legal Indemnity, Rent Indemnity, Professional Indemnity and Van (already pro rata) products aren’t affected by this change.
