How do I set up a travel policy for a child travelling on their own?
You will need to set the policy up in the name of their parent/guardian and tick the “Proposer is not a traveller” tick box on the Proposer screen. This will mean the policy is issued in their name, but cover for the trip is limited to the person(s) shown as travellers on the policy. Any such risk will need to be authorised by the Aviva Travel team, so you will need to provide them with full details of the trip. If a non-travelling Proposer has a medical condition, you will need to screen their medical history in the same way as you would if they were travelling.
